Sometimes the British weather has other plans.
We were all set for a fantastic two-day appearance at the Filey Food Festival, but unfortunately Storm Dave had different ideas. With strong winds forcing the cancellation of one of our booked days, it looked like our fundraising efforts might take a hit.
Thankfully, Dave underestimated the determination of our volunteers, supporters, and the wonderful Filey community.
Despite losing a full day, our tombola stall still raised an incredible £469.89 for Breast Cancer Now. 💪💗
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, bought tickets, donated, and supported us throughout the day. Whether you are a Filey local or were visiting the area, your generosity helped make the event a great success. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many lovely people and sharing a few laughs along the way.
The day was a wonderful reminder that even the most unpredictable British weather cannot dampen the spirit of people coming together for a good cause.
